About

Let me start by saying it’s immensely brave to reach out for support, for community, for authentic connection especially when you don’t have the luxury of meeting face-to-face.  I get it.  So thank you for your courage.

My spiritual background – the short version.  I was born into a nominally Catholic family and attended Mass and catechism for my first ten years.  Later in my teens I joined a fundamentalist evangelical church and planned to become a minister.  Those plans fell apart in my early twenties when the contrast between my beliefs and the churches, and the active opposition to my plans (I was, after all, a woman) became too much to handle.  I was left with much pain and confusion.  I explored many other spiritual paths at that time, eventually finding my heart-home with the earth-based practices and ceremonies of a teacher and Medicine Woman from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada region of California.  I apprenticed with her and eventually taught alongside her for ten years.

I am a survivor of early childhood abuse, and my studies of healing modalities have been focused on techniques to help me with my own trauma as well as supporting other survivors.  I became a certified massage therapist in 1994, and a Reiki Master Teacher-Healer in 1995 and combined these with my indigenous healing training to facilitate ceremonies, circles and workshops to create healing, hone intuitive skills and honor the Earth.  I’ve learned and taught many energetic and divinatory practices.

In 2016 I became certified in Soul Realignment, a method of reading the Akashic Records, and in 2019 I formally studied Mediumship to expand the work I had already been doing with ancestral healing.

Many of my workshops have been based on a process I created using the symbolism of moving around the Medicine Wheel.  Some of my writing was published in the anthology Gathering Round the Fire: Insights on Fear, and I’ve created three card decks, a mini deck of daily thoughts, and two decks for Reiki practitioners.

In the last few years, I have taken workshops and classes with both Gabor Mate’ and Thomas Hubl, teachers on the cutting edge of trauma work.

What’s most important to me right now?  I’m passionate about our connection with all the other, older and wiser beings we share this planet with, and finding ways to step out of the cultural programing that tells us we are at some pinnacle of superiority and wisdom.  As we find humility it is my hope we may once again find our place in the interconnected Web of Life along with the ancestors and all other beings.

I no longer have an interest in enlightenment which is so often just another name for dissociation.  Instead, I seek an embodied spirituality that embraces the wisdom of the Earth, of my human body, of my feelings.  I embrace the mess of this human experience and seek to be present for each heartbreaking and beautiful moment.  I seek to slow down, to simplify, to be present.

I am devoted to the Divine, to the Great Mother in all Her many guises, and to the Greenman Trickster Father, and to all the Divine Children – you, me, the fungi, the bears, the stars, the mountains, the ancestors, and those to come.

A life-long Californian, in 2021 my family relocated to Minnesota where I share my life with my beloved husband and our dog companions, Charlie and Gracie.
